Angela Ash

Angela Ash is my entry to a Seventh Sanctum contest.

Angela once was a normal human. She ate food, hung out with friends, and feared the immortal, super powered vampires that ruled the world. She new like every other vampire and human on the earth that vampires had never been human and they couldn't convert humans into vampires, those things were myths among vampires used to scare the humans into submission when they were taking over the world. All that changed for Angela when she made the mistake of taking a walk on her own.

On her way to eat dinner with her boyfriend, she was pulled into a dark alley by a pale white figure with sharp pointed teeth. Angela new it was a vampire, but this vampire was different. She had an air of control and royalty about her as if she was used to having the control of the world at her fingertips. Angela new it was the end for her when the majestic vampire bit into her neck and she slipped into unconsciousness.

So Angela was surprised and terrified when she woke up hours later with the sun coming up over the horizon. Her skin had turned an ashy, marbled white. Her teeth, particularly her cuspids, where longer and pointed. Every ounce of fat had boiled off her body and her muscles were perfectly grafted. Her irises had turned a light red, just a tint away from pink. And at her neck were two puncture scars from where she'd been bitten.

Now Angela is feared and rejected by both humans and vampires as a freak of nature. She thirsts for blood but not in frezy-like way normal vampires do. Nobody knows what powers she might develop or what she will eventually become, but everybody knows that because of the human blood that has always flowed through her veins she will be extremely powerful.
